Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in Microsoft Word
- References Style : American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are attached separtely with the manuscript.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Editorial
Editorials should not exceed (1 500 words). Tables and figures are not to be used, and a summary is not required. Use no more than 15 references. The name (including first name) and complete address of the author or authors must be given at the end of the editorial.
Review
A review article accumulates and summarizes the results of many different articles on a particular topic and re-presents previously published literature, rather than reporting new facts or analysis. It can be either requested by the editorial committee, or subjected spontaneously by the authors. It aims at making the exhaustive point of a subject of general interest. Review articles must include an abstract of 100-200 words and a maximum of 100 references. There is no required page limit for a review article, according to the following plan: Introduction, Search Methodology, Results, Discussion ( or results and discusssion in the same section) and Conclusion.
Mini Review
Mini Review Article: It is similar to review article except in terms of word limit & References. The word limit of mini review article is 1500-2000 words and it can include a maximum of 50 references.
Original Research
It includes 10 to 15 pages (except tables and figures) according to the following plan: introduction, patients (or materials) and methods, results, discussion and conclusion. There is no limit for the number of tables, figures and references.
Case report
The length of brief reports should not exceed approximately 3 000 words including references (10 at most), the abstract and keywords. The abstract should not exceed 100 words and should summarize the article in a single paragraph. A short report/ case report must be unusually and contribute original information. They should be organized as follows: introduction, methods/ observation, discussion, conclusion, references.
Briefs
Report Preliminary or novel findings may be reported as (up to 800 words in main text, 2 tables/figures, and an abstract of up to 80 words). The following structure applies to a brief: Abstract, Brief, Competing interests, Authors’ contributions, Acknowledgments (if any), Tables and figures (if any, maximum 1 table and 1 figure), References (not more than 15 references).
Debate
This is designed to present a forum for critical debate about timely public health topics (up to 1000 words, 10 references). The following structure typically applies to a debate paper: Abstract, Debate, Competing interests, References (not more than 10 references).
Conference proceedings
We welcome conferences sponsored supplements and proceedings. Prospective conference organizers should contact the editor in chief with the project for specific instructions
